It's about 4 and a half year since I meet my boyfriend and started to listening to the post-rock music. This time was and still is amazing. So many travels we made to different post-rock gigs. I don't remember so good how has it started. I know that there was an God is an Astronaut gig in Poznań (Poland) and the next day Caspian was playing in the same city, and I wanted to see them live (Caspian was the first post-rock band I've ever heard). Since that time many amazing things happened. Very often we didn't had the money for some gigs, sometimes it was like choosing between going somewhere to see one band or having the money for food. I will never forget as we went to Jonsi' gig in Kraków (Poland) and then we must to eat potatoes with fried eggs every day, because that was the only foodwe had at home (we didn't had money to buy any food). Last year we went to Strasbourg (France) because I wanted to see one of my favourite bands sleepmakeswaves. It was our first trip to France, for the first time I rented a room at hotel... I was so affraid (which was very stupid) because all the time I thought that when we go there, someone will kidnap me like in this movie "Taken" (I'm very silly person, I know :D ). At the moment I'm waiting for the next European tour of sleepmakeswaves. I also want to go to the Dunk!festival this year ( I never was in Belgium or at any music festival). And hopefully after years of waiting I will see arms&sleepers for the first time. And then maybe I will go for the first time to Berlin, because of 65daysofstatic "Fall of Math" gig. :)

I must say, I don't listen to post-rock music so much. I mean, I prefer going to the concert, and listen to the music live, than sitting at home and playing the music from the album. On the concert you can always better feel the music. It has much more emotions, it doesn't must be so perfect, and one song can every time sound a little bit different. And of course you can feel the connection with the musicians.
I saw Caspian this month. It was a really different concert than every show on which I was. They played in church. And they were playing with bands which aren't post-rock. They're one of my favourites bands so I decided, that I must to see them, or I will regret this forever if I would not go. The show was amazing as always. It remind me how awesome and talented they are.
"Hymn For The Greatest Generation" is the newest album of Caspian. It's a little bit different from their earlier albums, more calm and 'soft'. I prefer much more music like that. But there is also one song called "The Heart That Fed" which have an powerful ending.
I know I'm writing not so often. I wanted to ask your for your help. I even don't know if anyone is reading my posts...
There is an crowdfunding campaign from sleepmakeswaves. I first saw them on their concert in Poland. Then again I had the opportunity to meet with them last year. They are very nice and amazing talented people. If you never heard their music, you should try it. In my opinion they have their own "sound". You cannot say 'it's remind my the Sigur Ros or EITS music...' They sound only like sleepmakeswaves. Maybe that's why I like them some much. They are original.
At this point of time they reached almost 100 % of their goal. They need about 1500 A$ more to be able to release new record. Even if you can give only 5 A$, it's still something. And if you can't than please, at least share the link to their campaign. Let's make this happen together :)
